Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 6, 2026Version 1.1Toii Social LLCprivacy@gao.global

Gao Browser is a native web browser for iOS and Android made for the Gao Internet. It is published by Toii Social LLC. This Policy explains the limited information that reaches us or the Gao Internet services the app uses, what stays on your device, and what third parties receive when you use the browser.

1. Overview

Gao Browser (the "App") is a web browser. Toii Social LLC ("we," "us," or "Company") publishes it. The App has no accounts and no sign-in. It contains no wallet and holds no keys. It contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software. It sends nothing to us about the pages you visit.

Three different parties can process information when you use the App, and this Policy keeps them apart:

  • Toii Social LLC — the App on your device and this website, browser.gao.global. Section 3 describes exactly what reaches us.
  • Gao Internet services the App calls — Gao ID, the Gao Internet name service at id.gao.global, which the App uses to resolve .gao names and to list the Gao ecosystem.
  • Third-party websites and services you reach through the browser — the websites you open, the search engine, public name gateways, the WalletConnect relay operated by Reown, and the wallet app you choose. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with information.

Every statement in this Policy is written from the App as built and is kept in step with it. Where a fact changes, this page changes with a new Effective Date.

2. Legal Classification

Gao Browser is software for browsing the web. Through the App, the Company does not:

  • Operate user accounts, identities or sign-in
  • Hold, control, custody or have access to private keys, recovery phrases, wallets or funds
  • Sign, execute, relay or intermediate transactions on behalf of users
  • Act as a financial institution, bank, depository, exchange, broker-dealer, money transmitter or money services business
  • Provide fiat on-ramp or off-ramp services, or investment, tax or legal advice
  • Recover wallets, recovery phrases or private keys

When a website asks to connect a wallet, the App hands that request to the wallet application you already have; every approval and signature happens inside that wallet under its own terms. Nothing in this Policy constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information the App sends, and to whom

The App makes network requests only for what you do. This table lists every destination the App itself contacts, besides the websites you choose to open.

DestinationWhenWhat is sent
Gao ID (id.gao.global)You type a .gao name; the App refreshes the Gao ecosystem list on the new-tab screen (at most once every six hours)The .gao name you typed, or a request for the public ecosystem list. No identifier, no cookies and no account information. Like every internet request, it carries technical connection data such as your IP address. Gao ID may keep operational logs of these requests for a limited period to keep the service working and secure.
This website (browser.gao.global)You open the site, or a wallet returns you to the App through a link on this hostAn ordinary web request. The pages set no cookies, run no scripts and load nothing from third parties. Cloudflare delivers the site and processes connection data to do so (Section 8).
DuckDuckGoYou type a search instead of an addressThe search text, as an ordinary web request to the search engine, under DuckDuckGo's own privacy policy.
Public name gateways (eth.limo, sns.id, space.id)You type a .eth, .sol, .bnb or .arb nameThe name, as an ordinary https navigation to the gateway that serves that name system.
Reown (WalletConnect) relay and servicesOnly when a website you have allowed for wallet access starts a wallet connectionThe encrypted WalletConnect session messages exchanged between the App and your wallet; the App's public metadata (the name "Gao Browser", https://browser.gao.global and its icon); and the WalletConnect software's own service traffic, which may include verification requests and usage events sent to Reown. Reown's privacy policy governs these services.
Websites you openBrowsingNormal web traffic from the browser engine, including the sites' own cookies and anything you enter into them. Each website's own privacy policy applies.
Ecosystem iconsA site listed in the Gao ecosystem publishes an iconA cookie-free request for that icon, made to the address the listing gives.

The App sends no other request. In particular, the App sends the Company nothing about your browsing: not the pages you visit, not your history, tabs, bookmarks or downloads, not what you type into websites.

3.2 Information We DO NOT Collect

Gao Browser and Toii Social LLC do not collect, store, transmit, back up or recover:

  • Your browsing history, tabs, bookmarks or downloads, which exist only on your device
  • The content of pages you visit or information you enter into websites
  • Private keys, recovery phrases, seed phrases, wallet addresses, balances or transaction history — the App never holds any of them
  • Biometric data — the App does not use Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock
  • Your location — location requests come from websites and are answered by your device under the per-site permission you choose; the App never sends your location to the Company
  • Your real name, email address, phone number or government-issued identification, unless you send them to us yourself
  • Advertising identifiers, crash logs, performance metrics or any analytics or telemetry from the App

The App generates no user identifier. The Company operates no server that the App reports to.

3.3 Information you send us

If you write to us at one of the addresses in Section 17, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you, to fix the problem you report and to meet our legal obligations, and we keep it only as long as those purposes require (Section 15). Never include private keys, recovery phrases or wallet secrets in a message to us; we will never ask for them.

4. How We Use Information

The requests in Section 3.1 are used only to answer them: to resolve the name you typed, to list the Gao ecosystem, to deliver this website and to carry a wallet connection you started. Messages you send us are used only to help you.

We do not use any information for advertising, user profiling, behavioural tracking or monetization. We do not sell, license, rent or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Do Not Track. This website does not respond to Do Not Track signals because it does not track you. The App does not track you across websites and adds no tracking-preference header to your requests; websites you visit may track you according to their own practices, and the per-site permission controls in the App do not change that.

5. Wallet and Blockchain Disclosures

Gao Browser contains no wallet and cannot sign. When a website asks to connect a wallet and you allow it for that site, the App forwards the request through WalletConnect to a wallet application you already have. Every connection, message and transaction is approved inside that wallet, never inside the App.

  • We have no access. Toii Social LLC cannot see, use or move anything in a wallet you connect through the App.
  • We have no recovery capability. We cannot recover lost keys or recovery phrases, restore a wallet, or reverse an unauthorized or mistaken transaction. Your wallet provider's terms govern your wallet.
  • Transactions may be irreversible and public. Once broadcast to a blockchain network, a transaction generally cannot be reversed, cancelled or modified by the Company or any party, and it is recorded on a public ledger anyone can view.
  • Websites see what you approve. A website you connect a wallet to learns the wallet address you approve for it, and anything your wallet signs at your request. The App shows a website a wallet provider only after you allow it for that site.

6. Data Stored on Your Device

Everything the App remembers is stored on your device, in the App's own storage or in the storage of the platform web engine. None of it is sent to the Company.

DataWhereKept until
Open tabs (up to ten), history, bookmarksThe App's storage on your deviceYou delete them in the App, or you uninstall the App
DownloadsiOS: inside the App until you export a file with the Files picker. Android: the system Downloads collectionYou delete them

Website data (cookies, local storage, caches)The platform web engine's storage (WebKit on iOS, Android WebView on Android)Cleared under the platform's rules, or when you uninstall the App

Cookies. Websites can store cookies and other site data in the browser engine's storage on your device so that sites work as you expect. The platform web engine applies its own rules to third-party cookies. The Company never receives this data.

Backups. On iOS, the App's data may be included in the device backups you configure with Apple, such as iCloud Backup. On Android, the App limits automatic backup and device-to-device transfer to a small set of application preference data; browsing data files, website data and WalletConnect session storage are excluded.

Deleting. You can remove history entries and bookmarks in the App and change any permission in the site settings sheet. Uninstalling the App removes all of its data from your device, except downloads you exported to Files on iOS or saved to the Downloads collection on Android.

7. Third-Party Services

The App and this website rely on the following services. None of them receives browsing data from the Company, because the Company holds none.

ServicePurposeWhat it receives
AppleApp Store and TestFlight distribution; the WebKit browser engine on iOS; device backupsYour App Store account activity under Apple's terms; web traffic through the engine on your device; the backups you configure
GoogleGoogle Play distribution; the Android WebView browser engine; Android backupYour Google Play account activity under Google's terms; web traffic through the engine on your device; the backups you configure
CloudflareDelivers this website and the Gao ID serviceConnection data for requests to browser.gao.global and id.gao.global, such as your IP address, processed to deliver and protect those hosts
Reown (WalletConnect)The relay and services that carry a wallet connection between the App and your walletEncrypted session messages, the App's public metadata, and the WalletConnect software's own service traffic (Section 3.1)
DuckDuckGoSearch from the address barThe search text you type
eth.limo, sns.id, space.idPublic gateways for .eth, .sol, .bnb and .arb namesThe name you typed

We do not integrate advertising SDKs, social media trackers or analytics platforms in the App or on this website. Each service above processes information under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

8. This Website

browser.gao.global serves static pages: this Policy, the Terms, the support page, the product page, the App's icon, and the return page a wallet opens to bring you back to the App. The pages set no cookies, run no scripts, load nothing from third parties and contain no forms. The website keeps no access logs of its own. Cloudflare, which delivers it, processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The return page never reads or forwards anything from the link that opened it, and never redirects.

9. International Users

Gao Browser is published by Toii Social LLC, headquartered in the United States. If you use the App or this website from outside the United States, you acknowledge that any limited information described in this Policy may be processed in the United States.

10. Children's Privacy

Gao Browser is a general-purpose web browser. It is not a child-directed product: it is not designed for, marketed to, or directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or under a higher minimum age where local law sets one. Because the App sends the Company no personal information from any user (Section 3), this applies equally to any child who uses it.

If a parent or legal guardian permits a child to use the App, they are responsible for that use, including the websites the child opens: the App applies no content filtering or parental controls of its own, and websites you reach through it may impose their own age restrictions. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@gao.global and we will promptly delete such information. This policy is consistent with COPPA.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Know — Request information about personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete — Request deletion of personal information we have collected.
  • Right to Correct — Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out — We do not sell or share personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights.

Because the App sends the Company no personal information, in most cases the only personal information we hold about you is correspondence you have sent us. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@gao.global. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

12. No Warranty

Gao Browser is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. The Company disclaims all liability for loss of funds, loss of access to wallets, unauthorized transactions, software defects, the content or conduct of third-party websites, or network downtime. Use of the application is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TOII SOCIAL LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

14. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Data Retention

  • From the App: the Company retains nothing. The App sends the Company no personal information to retain.
  • Correspondence: messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and to meet legal obligations, then deleted.
  • Gao ID: operational logs of name-resolution and ecosystem-list requests may be kept for a limited period to operate and secure the service.
  • This website: keeps no logs of its own; Cloudflare retains connection data under its own retention rules.
  • On your device: the data in Section 6 stays until you delete it or uninstall the App.

16. Changes to This Policy

We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material changes, delivered by an update to this page with a revised Effective Date. The App has no notification system of its own, so this page is the place to check. Your continued use of Gao Browser after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.
