Effective Date: September 6, 2026Version 1.1Toii Social LLClegal@gao.global
These Terms govern your use of Gao Browser, the native iOS and Android browser for the Gao Internet, published by Toii Social LLC. Gao Browser is a web browser: it contains no wallet, holds no keys and cannot sign. Please read Section 7 with particular care.
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Gao Browser (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Toii Social LLC ("Company," "we," "us"), a Delaware limited liability company. These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, TestFlight and Google Play. The terms of those stores also apply to your download and use of the App.
2. Description of Service
Gao Browser is a native web browser for iOS and Android that enables users to:
Open web addresses in a browser built on the platform web engine (WebKit on iOS, Android WebView on Android)
Type a .gao name and have it resolved through Gao ID, the Gao Internet name service, opening only a validated https destination
See the Gao ecosystem, a public list of Gao Internet sites, on the new-tab screen
Search from the address bar through DuckDuckGo, and open .eth, .sol, .bnb and .arb names through public gateways
Keep tabs, history, bookmarks and downloads on the device, and decide per site whether it may use the camera, microphone, location or a wallet
Let a website you have allowed connect, through WalletConnect, to a wallet application you already have
Gao Browser is software. It is not a wallet, bank, financial institution, broker-dealer, money transmitter, exchange, investment advisor, or custodian. The Company does not hold, custody, manage, or have access to your assets, recovery phrase, or keys at any time. The App has no accounts and no sign-in. The Company does not provide fiat on-ramp or off-ramp services, investment, tax, or legal advice, or wallet recovery services.
3. No Fiduciary Relationship
The Company does not act as a fiduciary, trustee, advisor, or custodian for any user. No fiduciary relationship is created by your use of the App. The Company owes no duty of care with respect to the management, protection, or preservation of your assets, keys, or identity credentials.
4. No Control Over Blockchain Networks or Third-Party Websites
The Company does not own, control, operate, or maintain any blockchain network, any website you open in the App, any wallet application, any search engine, or any public name system or gateway the App can reach. Transactions you approve in your wallet are executed on networks beyond the Company's control. The Company is not responsible for the availability, performance, security, content, or continuity of any of them.
5. Eligibility
Gao Browser is a general-purpose web browser. The App itself does not restrict its use to adults: it contains no wallet, and connecting a wallet through a website is a choice you make in the wallet application you already have, under that application's own terms.
You may use the App only if you meet the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction and by the rules of the app store that distributes the App to you. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, or the law otherwise requires it, you may use the App only with the permission of, and where applicable under the supervision of, a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Websites and services you reach through the App may impose their own age restrictions. Gao Browser does not waive, override or enforce them, and you must comply with them.
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
You meet the age requirements described above
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, or your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf
Your use of the App does not violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction
You are not located in, incorporated in, or a resident of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S. government sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions
You are not listed on any U.S. government sanctions list, including the OFAC SDN list
6. Export Controls and Sanctions Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations, including those administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce (Bureau of Industry and Security) and the U.S. Department of Treasury (Office of Foreign Assets Control). You may not use the App in violation of any export embargo, prohibition, or restriction.
7. Your Wallet Stays Yours — Critical Disclosures
Read this section carefully. Gao Browser is not a wallet. It never generates, imports, stores or transmits a private key or recovery phrase, and it cannot sign anything.
7.1 The App holds no keys
When a website you have allowed asks to connect a wallet, the App forwards the request through WalletConnect to a wallet application you already have. Every connection, message and transaction is approved inside that wallet, never inside the App. This means:
We cannot access your wallet. Gao Browser and Toii Social LLC do not collect, store, transmit, back up, or recover your private keys or recovery phrase. The Company has zero access to your keys or funds.
We cannot recover your wallet. Recovery of a wallet is a matter between you and your wallet provider. There is no account, password reset, or support escalation at the Company that can restore access to a wallet.
We cannot reverse transactions. Blockchain transactions may be irreversible. The Company has no technical ability to reverse, cancel, or modify any transaction once broadcast. You are solely responsible for every transaction you approve in your wallet.
Per-site permission is not an endorsement. Allowing a website to see a wallet provider only makes the connection possible. It says nothing about the website's trustworthiness, which you must judge yourself.
7.2 Removing the App does not affect your wallet
Uninstalling the App, or any suspension or discontinuation of the App, does not affect your wallet, your private keys, or your on-chain assets, which remain solely under your control in your wallet application.
7.3 Internal testing software
Gao Browser is currently distributed through internal testing tracks (TestFlight and Google Play internal testing). Features may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn between builds, and the App may contain defects. By using the App during this period you acknowledge and accept this.
8. Third-Party Websites, Services and Smart Contracts
Through the App you reach websites, decentralized applications, smart contracts, wallets, search engines, name systems and other services that are operated by third parties. The Company has no control over and is not responsible for the functionality, security, accuracy, availability, content, or legality of any of them. Any interaction with a third-party website or service is entirely at your own risk and is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.
The Company does not audit, endorse, or make any representation regarding any website, smart contract, decentralized application, wallet, or third-party protocol, including sites listed in the Gao ecosystem or reachable through a .gao name. A listing or a resolvable name is not a recommendation.
9. Your Responsibility for Web Content
Gao Browser gives you unrestricted access to the web. You are responsible for the websites you choose to open, the information you enter into them, the files you download or upload, and your compliance with the terms of every website you use. The Company does not monitor, filter, or review the content of websites, and is not responsible for content that is inaccurate, offensive, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable.
The App applies no content filtering or parental controls of its own. A parent or legal guardian who permits a minor to use the App is responsible for that use, and may rely on the controls the device platform provides.
The App refuses to load a page whose secure connection cannot be validated and offers no way to continue anyway. That protects the connection, not the content: a valid certificate says nothing about whether a website is honest.
10. Regulatory Uncertainty
Regulatory frameworks applicable to blockchain technology, cryptographic assets, and decentralized identity systems are evolving and subject to change. The Company makes no representations regarding the legality of your use of the App in any jurisdiction. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether your use of Gao Browser complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
11. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Gao Browser to:
Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
Engage in money laundering, terrorist financing, or any activity that violates the Bank Secrecy Act or applicable AML regulations
Circumvent sanctions administered by OFAC or any applicable sanctions authority
Transmit any malware, viruses, or malicious code
Infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights of any person
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App, except to the extent applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
Interfere with, overload, or disrupt Gao ID, this website, or any other infrastructure the App relies on
Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Company's infrastructure or reputation
12. Intellectual Property
Gao Browser, including its source code, design, trademarks, logos, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Toii Social LLC or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal use in accordance with these Terms.
The App incorporates third-party and open-source software components, which are licensed to you under their own terms. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights those licenses grant you.
13. Fees and Transactions
Gao Browser is free to use. The App charges no fees, sells nothing, and contains no in-app purchases. If you approve a blockchain transaction in your wallet, the network charges fees determined by that network and your wallet, not by the Company. Such fees are non-refundable, even if a transaction fails, and the Company is not responsible for fluctuations in fees or network congestion.
14. Permissions and Device Features
A website may ask to use your camera, microphone, or location. The App asks you per site, and your operating system asks you as well. You can change any decision in the site settings sheet. Declining a permission may limit what a website can do. The App itself never turns these features on and never sends what they capture to the Company.
15. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY AND CRYPTOGRAPHIC ASSETS ARE INHERENTLY RISKY. PRICES ARE VOLATILE. SMART CONTRACTS MAY CONTAIN BUGS. WEBSITES MAY BE DECEPTIVE. BY USING GAO BROWSER TO REACH SUCH SERVICES, YOU EXPLICITLY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THEM, INCLUDING THE TOTAL AND PERMANENT LOSS OF ASSETS HELD IN A WALLET YOU CONNECT.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF FUNDS, LOSS OF PRIVATE KEYS, LOSS OF DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your interaction with any website, third-party service, wallet, or smart contract.
18. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, power outages, blockchain network failures, cyberattacks, government actions, or changes in applicable law.
19. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of the Company. The Company may assign its rights and obligations without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Jury Trial Waiver:TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND THE COMPANY EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY.
Arbitration: Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware.
Class Action Waiver:YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST THE COMPANY.
21. Termination
The Company reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the App, or any part of it, at any time, with or without cause and without notice, without liability to you. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Termination does not affect your wallet, your private keys, or your on-chain assets (see Section 7.2).
22. Changes to These Terms
We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material changes, delivered by an update to this page with a revised Effective Date. The App has no notification system of its own, so this page is the place to check. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to Gao Browser.
